System & Network Engineer . In this hybrid role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the company’s IT infrastructure, working closely with both the Systems and Network teams to ensure seamless performance, security, and scalability of critical technology systems. Position Overview As the System & Network Engineer, you’ll take ownership of daily operations across the network and server environments. You’ll support and implement infrastructure improvements, manage cybersecurity protocols, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide internal support to both end-users and IT staff. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) Manage and support VoIP systems including call trees, hunt groups, DIDs, and softphones (RingCentral a plus) Enforce network and data security protocols including firewalls, antivirus, and IDS/IPS solutions Administer and maintain Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft365, EntraID, and Azure environments Manage user access, permissions, and directory services across systems Perform patching, upgrades, data backups, and disaster recovery operations Proactively monitor and tune server/network performance for availability and reliability Maintain and audit cybersecurity controls to align with compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, PCI, etc.) Troubleshoot end-user issues and provide Level 2 support to the Service Desk team Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and change logs Qualifications 2–4 years of hands-on experience in systems and network engineering roles Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication to various technical skill levels Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving Technical Experience Required SDWAN, LAN, WLAN, and firewall troubleshooting (Meraki preferred) Aruba wireless access points and ClearPass authentication Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft365, Azure, EntraID Virtualization platforms, ideally VMware/vSphere VPN/SASE and web filtering solutions (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA a plus) Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools like Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne Exposure to MSP environments Bonus Experience VoIP platforms (RingCentral or similar) Cloud and data backup tools (Veeam or similar) Cloud-based camera/access control systems (Verkada or similar) Email filtering solutions (Proofpoint or similar) Additional Details Hybrid Schedule : In-office Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday & Friday Travel : Occasional travel up to 10% may be required
