Rohde & Schwarz USA’s critical infrastructure business unit is expanding and seeking talent with networking and software system integration experience. This opening is for a Network/IT Test Engineer Trainer position to support our Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs. Strong candidates will have experience with IP-based voice communication systems, be goal oriented, and customer focused. The position is based in the Oklahoma City area and requires on-site work at a customer facility as well as regular travel to our North American headquarters facility in Columbia, MD.
Your tasks
Provide ongoing support and coaching to trainees to ensure successful understanding of R&S VoIP VCS Linux System Administration: Manage installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting of Linux servers and workstations. Network Management: Design and maintain network infrastructure, optimize performance, and ensure security. PBX Administration: Install and manage PBX systems, handle routing, and troubleshoot voice communication issues. Technical Support: Provide prompt IT support, document issues, and conduct training/support sessions on site. IT Consultant, installer, + support: Assess IT needs, recommend solutions for VoIP Voice Communication System Installation and Configuration: Set up hardware and software, ensuring integration with existing systems.
Your Qualifications
Experience presenting and providing training in a classroom type manner. Linux/Networking /PBX administrator experience Systems test experience with good understanding of execution of test programs. Configuring and analyzing VoIP networks, computing infrastructure, software deployments. Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint. Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Linux (Oracle), VM’s. Excellent technical writing skills. Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented and self-managed. Comfortable working in a team and without formal direction. Ability to travel for installs and acceptance testing throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 50%. In order to be considered, candidates must be a US person capable of receiving a U.S. Government public trust clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $74K-$168K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
