Job Summary

We seek a skilled Technical Specialist – LAN & DDI to manage enterprise LAN and DDI services at our onsite facility in Research Triangle Park, NC, ensuring high availability, security, and SLA compliance using Cisco technologies. This role offers growth in cloud networking and automation and a collaborative environment. Candidates with strong Cisco expertise are encouraged to apply.

You’ll support network segmentation, SD-Access, and resolve complex incidents, requiring strong troubleshooting, documentation, and occasional after-hours support.

Key Responsibilities

Manage LAN services with SLA ownership per contractual scope Produce and present service-level reports Drive Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) for LAN & DDI Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for LAN infrastructure Plan capacity and demand for LAN services Provide L3 escalation support for LAN switches, WAPs, controllers, and DDI Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and cross-functional teams Support regional customers on network design queries Occasional regional travel for deployments or meetings

Must-Have Skills

Cisco Nexus (e.g., 9500, 9300, 9200) Cisco Catalyst Switches (e.g., 6800, 4500, 3850, 3750, 3650, 3550, 2960) Cisco Meraki WLAN Wireless Access Points (WAP, e.g., 9115, 3702, 2802, 2602, 1702) Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) CCNP (Routing & Switching)

Nice-to-Have Skills

Cisco ISE implementation (identity-based access control) Network automation (e.g., Ansible, Python) Multi-tenant or large enterprise network experience Cloud networking (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute) SASE or Zero Trust principles CCIE or AWS Advanced Networking (experience prioritized)

Qualifications

5–10 years in LAN technologies and network design Strong analytical/multitasking skills in multi-team environments
