ABOUT THE ROLE
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: APEX developer needed to serve as a lead application developer using Oracle Application Express (APEX) and APEX workflows to design, develop, and maintain agency-critical applications. Strong programming experience with a minimum of 5 years developing applications with Oracle Application Express (APEX), version 21 through the current version. Proficiency in PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and database objects (procedures, functions, triggers). Understanding of relational database systems, specifically Oracle, and Oracle RDBMS architecture. Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop suitable solutions. Experience with the software development life cycle, change management processes, and version control. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work collaboratively with users and team members. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with creative design capabilities. Experience developing, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining Oracle APEX applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including occasional non-business hours. Flexibility to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively. Experience developing and maintaining system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, and flowcharts.
Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or a related field, OR 10+ years of equivalent experience.
