About the role We're hiring a photovoltaic device engineer with strong background in designing, micro/nano-fabricating and characterizing organic polymer based photovoltaic devices. No prior experience is needed in biotechnology. Strong grasp in opto-electronics and
expertise in micro/nano-fabrication of organic polymer based photovoltaic devices or solar cells with high power conversion efficiency is a MUST. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**): Design and develop organic photovoltaic devices Perform simulations to optimize the device Perform micro- and nano- fabrication to make the devices using cleanroom facilities and perform device characterization Explore applications of these devices Qualifications and Skills: MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 3+ years experience in micro-nano fabrication of organic polymer based photovoltaic devices or thin film solar cells with high power conversion efficiency 3+ years experience in micro-nano fabrication techniques such Photolithography; Spin Coating; Thin-Film Deposition; Etching; Encapsulation 3+ years experience in characterization techniques such as IV-Curve Measurement; External Quantum Efficiency (EQE); Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM); Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Strong background in solid state physics, device physics, electronic devices (diodes/transistors/band diagrams) and bandgap engineering Strong background in optoelectronics and photonics Bachelors or M.S or PhD in electrical/electronic engineering, physics, materials science, bio/mechanical/chemical engineering or relevant field PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience in organic semiconductor synthesis, polymer chemistry and materials characterization Experience in electronic device simulations (TCAD; COMSOL Multiphysics; Device Modelling) #OrganicPV, #MRS, #SPIE Seniority level
