Job Description Assistant Program Coordinator (part-time 28 hrs per week)
As the Assistant Program Coordinator you will provides moderately complex office support to a department or function, including editing and reviewing communications, writing letters and emails on behalf of leadership, compiling information and preparing reports, monitoring and reconciling budgets, and managing office processes and procedures.
What you'll be doing in this position:
Travel Logistics Research visa processes and helping student participants acquire appropriate visas. Research hotels, hostels, and other forms of accommodations. Research local transportation options. Research local sites of historical or cultural significance. As directed by a full-time Coordinator, make reservations for accommodations, transportation, and site visits. Research internship placements as needed. Maintain contact and relationships with internship placements as needed. Supporting Student Participants
Attend Evening Prep Classes to assist programs needing Visas to travel to their host country. Advise students on visa processes. Collect Travel Information for students. Help disseminate information to student participants as needed. Events and Marketing
Assist in keeping the website up to date and accurate. Assist with events hosted by the department. Assist in marketing for International Study Programs. Assist in planning and executing study abroad events, fairs, and information booths. General Office Tasks
Assist in keeping program flyers up-to-date and in stock. As needed, assist Coordinator with program payments and budgets. Assist with program emergencies and last-minute changes. Assist with student and faculty training - prepare training material, assist in training as needed. What qualifies you for this role:
Minimum education/experience required:
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent university work experience. Preferred:
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years university work experience OR equivalent university work experience. Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:
Must be dependable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks (required) Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and database software (required) Excellent phone and public relations skills (required) Ability to keep information confidential (required) Ability to take direction and work as a team member and independently (required) Past participation on a BYU International Study Program (preferred) Experience with and understanding of BYU policies and international programs (preferred) What we offer in return:

Pay Grade: 48
Typical Starting Pay: $20.00-$25.75
