This position is responsible for teaching courses in Automated Industrial Technology with a focus on manufacturing maintenance. The role includes providing hands-on instruction in industrial automation, mechanical and electrical maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing systems. Responsibilities also include curriculum development and preparing students for successful careers in industrial technology.

Hiring pay is $1107 per load hour.

Develop and deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training in automated industrial technology and manufacturing maintenance. Teach students how to install, maintain, and repair industrial automation systems, robotics, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Design curriculum aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies. Utilize simulation tools, industry-grade equipment, and real-world applications to enhance student learning. Evaluate student performance through assessments, projects, and hands-on demonstrations. Provide guidance and mentorship to students pursuing careers in manufacturing maintenance and industrial automation. Stay up to date with advancements in automation, industrial control systems, and predictive maintenance technologies. Collaborate with industry partners and advisory boards to ensure curriculum relevance. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of current and effective pedagogical techniques. Ability to teach assigned courses effectively. Knowledge of the subject areas. Available to teach during various hours of the day or evening, and work at alternate CCC sites. Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality with students and staff. Ability to support and promote the mission, vision, guiding principles, and strategic plan of the College. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to integrate subject area with other related curricula. Capacity to be flexible. Ability to teach using online learning management systems. Knowledge of common computer software. Knowledge of the applicable state and federal laws, such as Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Fluency in written and oral communication. Minimum Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience in industrial automation, manufacturing maintenance, or related areas. Teaching experience preferred but not required; strong communication skills and a passion for education are essential. Proficiency in PLC programming, robotic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical maintenance. Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations and best practices. Certifications such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, FANUC, or similar credentials are a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT integration, and smart manufacturing. Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Commitment to student success and workforce development.
Part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week for at least 20 weeks within the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) are eligible to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System and receive tuition waiver benefits.
