for our Countryside Location. The telephone scheduler position is primarily responsible for answering the telephone and scheduling patients that are calling for appointments with the doctors and/or testing. Also responsible for verifying the patient demographics and insurance information. Assisting in rescheduling patients due to physician schedule changes.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Coordinate and schedule clinical staff assignments, ensuring proper coverage for patient visits in compliance with the established care plans. Manage patient visit schedules, update and adjust clinician assignments as needed based on availability, location, and patient needs. Communicate scheduling changes or updates promptly to clinicians, patients, and family members as required. Collaborate with the clinical team to optimize scheduling efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care standards. Ensure that all documentation related to scheduling is accurate and up to date in the scheduling system. Address any immediate scheduling conflicts and find solutions to avoid gaps in patient care coverage. Provide administrative support to the home health clinical team as needed, including maintaining relevant logs and reports. Uphold all compliance and confidentiality standards as outlined by the organization and applicable regulations. Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct and all applicable laws, including HIPAA regulations for the protection of sensitive information. M-F 8:30-5:00
