Job Overview
BRIXCO Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Asphalt Paver Operator to join our experienced paving crew. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art paving equipment to construct and repair roadways, parking lots, and other asphalt surfaces across the Bay Area. As a core member of our field team, your precision and quality focus will directly contribute to the success of high-impact civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
Operate asphalt paver and related equipment to apply asphalt on roads, parking lots, and paved surfaces. Monitor paving speed, mat depth, and temperature to ensure quality and specification compliance. Coordinate material delivery with dump truck drivers for seamless asphalt flow. Inspect equipment before and after use, perform minor maintenance, and report mechanical issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work zone in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with crew members including laborers, roller operators, and foremen for smooth jobsite operation. Assist with other paving-related duties as assigned by the foreman.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience operating an asphalt paver on civil construction projects. Familiarity with paving procedures, materials, and jobsite protocols. Ability to read project plans, grades, and blueprints. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating Weiler, Caterpillar, Bomag, or Vogele paving machines. Basic mechanical troubleshooting and daily maintenance ability. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
