Per Diem Medical Lab Scientist
to join a highly respected healthcare facility near
Toledo, Ohio . This flexible opportunity is ideal for experienced lab professionals looking to supplement their income, maintain work-life balance, or explore new clinical environments.
Job Description: Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis
Accurately analyze specimens to assist in diagnosing, treating, and preventing disease
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and safety
Adhere to strict quality control and regulatory compliance standards
Communicate results clearly and promptly with medical and nursing staff
Assist with maintaining documentation, test records, and inventory management
Education and Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible within 6 months) required
Current or eligible Ohio licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (if applicable)
Minimum of 1 year of hospital or clinical lab experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
