Hematologist/Oncologist
(ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in
Elkins, West Virginia. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. Duties:
The successful candidate will practice in the areas of
Hematology/Oncology . In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows . Qualifications:
Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidates must have completed an
Internal Medicine residency program , as well as a
Hematology/Oncology
fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in
Hematology and/or Medical Oncology . All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment. Information on the department/practice Elkins Corridor Medical Center is launching hematology and oncology services to expand cancer care access in the region. This new program will provide on-site evaluation and management of a broad range of hematologic and oncologic conditions, with access to infusion services. The physician will be supported by WVU Cancer Institute's robust subspecialty network and clinical trials infrastructure, with opportunities to collaborate across the state. This is a unique opportunity to shape a growing program and make a lasting impact in a medically underserved community.
