Our client is a manufacturer of specialty engineering materials used in multiple different industries. They currently seek an Plant Engineering Manager for their plant in the Portland OR. The ideal candidate should enjoy being out in the plant and getting involved in the technical aspects of the process like assisting with troubleshooting when needed. This position has strong potential for promotion in the future into Plant Management!nnEngineering Manager/Chemical Engineer/Engineering/Manufacturing/Chemicals/Mechanical Engineer/PSM/Operations/Chemical Manufacturing/Plant Engineering Manager/Plant Manager/Operations Manager/Maintenance ManagernnAs The Plant Engineering Manager, job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:nnOwner, accountable for all plant assets; responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the capital budget and the maintenancenFunction as a project manager for capital projectsnCommunicate with internal and external customers to ensure project plans and work in progress will meet desired outcomesnCommunicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standardsnDirectly supervise all resources in the maintenancenAnalyze/plan maintenance work force utilization, predictive/preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiencynProvide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepare engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selectionnDevelop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing controls and automation utilizing knowledge of instrumentation, controls & automation, product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilitiesnLeverage engineering controls to institutionalize consistencies in productionnnSalary Range: up to $145,000 plus 15% yearly bonus potentialnn#LI-BK1nnJob Code: 32.24BK
