Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Partner with IT and business teams to provide leadership in driving technology solutions, considering standards, market availability, and risks. Provide high-level consultation to management and staff within the architectural domain. Operates independently with minimal supervision.
Primary Duties
- Provide technical expertise to identify technology solutions and strategies to achieve business results. Ensure proper implementation in development and production environments. (35%)
- Design and develop enterprise-wide architecture aligned with business strategy. Oversee the introduction of new technology through Exelon's governance process. (30%)
- Advise IT leadership on strategic technology planning. (10%)
- Build and maintain relationships with business and IT partners; communicate status regularly. (10%)
- Stay informed on trends and evaluate new technologies for their impact and opportunities. (10%)
- Contribute to performance evaluations, career development, and recognition of IT personnel. (5%)
Job Scope
- Maintain deep knowledge of technology applications across Exelon.
- Promote knowledge sharing through seminars, presentations, and publications.
- Apply appropriate theories, practices, and principles to relate technology to business needs.
- Drive technological innovation to support new business opportunities and solve complex problems.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 7-10 years of diverse IT experience, including architecture. Alternatively, 9-12 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, ETL tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Understanding of data governance and security practices.
- Leadership ability, good judgment, analytical skills, and consulting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, effective with all management levels and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in a technical specialty.
