They are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and implement machine learning solutions for real-time bidding, ranking, and personalization in ads, as well as for search and discovery systems to enhance user engagement and content distribution.
Responsibilities:
Drive the design and implementation of machine learning solutions for real-time bidding, ranking, and personalization in ads.
Design and implement the machine learning solutions that power the visual and text based search and discovery system to drive Roblox content distribution.
Design and implement large scale recommendation models.
Design and implement LLMs for visual understanding and natural language understanding.
Author specs for new features and improvements.
Collaborate with other teams within Roblox to ensure community-first product development.
Balance research of new technologies with practical implementation in Roblox products.
Communicate with the industry and communities where applicable and serve as an ambassador for Roblox.
Qualifications: Required:
7+ (principal) or 4+ (senior) years of experience in scalable machine learning solutions for NLU use cases.
Experience with transformer-based model training, inference, and product integration.
Ability to break down product requirements into iterative deliverables.
BSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
Experience leading challenging technical decisions across teams.
User-oriented mindset, deeply technical but focused on user needs.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to simplify complex ideas.
Fresh ideas and innovative thinking.
Preferred:
Advanced degrees are a plus.
