They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Communication Safety to ensure user-generated content is safe and civil, driving the transformation of safety efforts at scale while working with various teams to build high-scale machine learning systems. Responsibilities: • Build high-scale machine learning systems to detect and address problematic content on Roblox. • Develop new detection approaches in a rapidly evolving landscape. Use a data-driven lens to think creatively, strategically, and adversarially to identify opportunities. • Contribute to the team's roadmap and technical foundations. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers. • Partner with Moderation Operations, PM, Data, and stakeholders across Roblox. Qualifications: Required: • 4+ years of experience building and shipping high-scale backend systems to production. • 4+ years of experience working on multi-person codebases, including open-source or personal projects. • Passion for delivering products end-to-end, from ideation through implementation, with laser focus on the end goal while being empathetic with cross-functional stakeholders. Preferred: • Experience with machine learning is a plus.
