Principal Oracle Database Software Engineer
Raytheon is hiring a Principal Oracle Database Software Engineer to support our teams in Aurora, CO. Raytheon provides end-to-end space solutions from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat. Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt.
What You Will Do
- Work as a Database engineer with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software.
- Perform software development of large-scale database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and fix complex software problems.
- Performance tuning of database objects and queries.
- Installation, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Database Software.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior, relevant experience.
- Experience with Oracle 19c RAC Database Administration.
- Experience with BASH or other similar scripting language.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Oracle DataGuard.
- Experience with Oracle Multitenant Architecture.
- Experience with Chef or Ansible automation.
- Experience with some area of satellite ground system software.
- Experience with Atlassian Tools.
- Experience with Agile Development.

The salary range for this role is $101,000 - $203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
