to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be
on site
in
Redondo Beach, CA and requires the ability to work on site weekly in Redondo Beach with a possible hybrid teleworking schedule. The
Research and Advanced Design (R&AD)
division develops, demonstrates and transitions differentiating technologies, aeronautics platforms, advanced missions and architectural design concepts to drive sector and company growth. Our team supporting R&AD is integral to growth, works with cutting-edge industry leading approaches, and develops unique experiences to further individual career growth with a mission mindset. The Analyst will support efforts associated with proposal development, planning and scheduling during the acquisition process. Will perform cost estimating/pricing related duties and analysis in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Will coordinate with functional departments to facilitate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements and research and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings and in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Essential Functions: Develops, plans and schedules proposals Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Works in a team environment to develop proposals in response to customer requests Analyzes data such as direct labor hours, past performance, costs of previous procurements, Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and/or comparison to similar items/scope Responds to requests for information in support of internal and external customers/auditors Researches and analyzes historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives Provides price and cost analysis in support of program objectives Develops a Consolidated Bill of Material Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data Prepares Proposals in compliance with applicable government regulations and internal policies Presents proposal recommendations to management Prepares certified cost or pricing data packages Supports proposal audits and negotiations with customers Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 5 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 3 years of proposal or material estimating experience Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principles Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Basic Qualifications for a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 8 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 6 years of proposal or material estimating experience Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principles Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Supply chain Aerospace/Defense industry experience Knowledge of Cost Accounting Supply Chain experience Knowledge of SAP/ERP Experience with SAP/S4 Experience with program cost analysis in an engineering and manufacturing environment Working knowledge of government contract environment (FAR and DFARS) Working knowledge of cost accounting standards, generally accepted accounting principles and accounting/proposal auditing techniques Familiarity with the concept and application of Cost Improvement Curves and parametric modeling (such as SEER-SIM, PRICE True Planning, etc.) Intimate background with Global Supply Chain Subcontract/Procurement requirements, FAR proposal adequacy and execution Experience with ProPricer Active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
