Skyworks' Andover, MA design center is seeking an experienced Layout Designer responsible for analog integrated circuit layouts using commercial/standard bulk SOI and CMOS technologies, adhering to design rules. Our Andover MA design center boasts leading R&D and product development capabilities. Join a dynamic team at the forefront of semiconductor design, creating cutting-edge integrated circuit solutions. Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with design engineers to create integrated circuit layouts. Perform custom IC mask/layout design for 40/22nm analog, RF, and mixed/signal circuits. Design layouts from scratch, modify existing layouts, create block-level floorplans, and ensure specifications are met. Verify designs using Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX/EM-IR/HVDRC tools. Maintain effective communication with design engineers. Develop methods to improve layout efficiency and verification processes. Participate actively in design reviews, team meetings, and provide insights from a layout perspective. Coordinate remotely with domestic and international teams across multiple time zones. Desired Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. At least 3 years of experience in IC layout, including placement and routing of active and passive devices. Ability to plan placement of major circuit components. Understanding of semiconductor processes and structures such as CMOS FETs, capacitors, resistors. Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and SkillCAD tools. Experience interpreting DRC, ERC, LVS, and antenna checks with Calibre, and reading schematics and netlists. Top-level integration experience is preferred. The typical base pay range for this role in the U.S. is USD $89,100 - $172,100 per year, depending on experience, skills, and location.
