Description Are you interested in shaping the future of entertainment? The Prime Video Personalization & Discovery team is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech to help deliver superior experiences powered by ML/AI to Prime Video customers worldwide.
About Prime Video Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
About The Role As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll work on fast-paced, challenging, and varied projects, experimenting with new possibilities, taking risks, and collaborating with remarkable people. We seek your diverse perspectives, ideas, and skill-sets to enhance Prime Video for our customers. You will own a significant portion of the product strategy and vision, developing roadmaps to execute that vision. This role is cross-functional; you will work with science, engineering, program management, design, finance, legal, content acquisition, and executive teams to optimize the customer experience.
About You We are looking for an analytical, data-driven, resourceful, customer-focused individual adept at managing multiple priorities. You have a proven track record of end-to-end ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced environment, always prioritizing customer interests. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and resolving debates quickly. Excellent communication skills are essential, whether presenting to leaders or collaborating with technical partners. Experience working with applied scientists on ML/AI applications and shipping consumer-facing software at scale is highly desirable. Experience with recommender systems is a plus.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of technical product or program management experience
Experience with feature delivery and product tradeoffs
6+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience
Experience owning and defining roadmaps
Experience leading engineering discussions on technology decisions
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics
Strong leadership, prioritization, communication, and influence skills
Experience working with senior stakeholders
Experience applying ML/AI to consumer applications
