whatever your ambitions. The Therapy Systems and Preclinical Team is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer role supporting electrophysiology within the Cardiology division. Electrophysiology is an exciting growth driver for BSC. With the acquisition of FARAPULSE Inc., Boston Scientific will strengthen its leadership in Personalized EP Solutions, with a strong focus in Atrial Fibrillation. The R&D Principal Engineer will have a leading role in the development and integration of new catheter-based technologies for improving the safety, effectiveness, and usability of ablation devices in the field of cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities: Creates novel technology enhancements to therapeutic ablation catheters to meet customer and market demands in the rapidly growing and evolving electrophysiology marketplace. Works with cross-functional engineering teams to develop prototype catheters, electronic instrumentation and characterize therapy from concept level through final implementation. Plans and executes laboratory and preclinical research to prove feasibility of concepts and ensure robust technology performance that meets customer needs and global regulatory approval requirements. Develops and leads physician partnerships to advance our understanding of PFA therapeutic performance. Participates in the development of others by facilitating training and providing feedback and guidance. Creates a strong team culture around high expectations and high performance. Writes and submits intellectual property (patents). Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development. Provides clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates. Required Qualifications: 7+ Years with BS, 5-7 Years with MS, 3-5 Years with PhD Degree in Engineering Experience with data analysis for physiologic signals Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration, influence without authority, and project/task management enabling highly effective teams Passion for understanding and solving problems for end users Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering Knowledge of Pulsed Field Ablation Demonstrated experience in cardiac electrophysiology Proven self-starter who runs towards critical issues, ambiguous requirements, or loosely defined challenges with a demonstrated ability to rally teams to achieve business results. Understands mapping and ablation system to apply system-level expertise to ablation therapy development Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
