The Principal Telecommunications Engineer - Private Networks will troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, focusing on WAN, SONET, and MPLS technologies, with expertise in enterprise WANs and IEC-61850 networks for critical systems, especially in electric utility environments. Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and optimizing networks, ensuring compliance with standards like NERC CIP and NIST, providing technical leadership, and documenting configurations and processes. Qualifications
15+ years of experience in routing and switching, including SONET, MPLS, and advanced protocols. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field. Proven troubleshooting skills for complex networks across multiple device manufacturers. Experience with WAN and LAN design, IEC-61850 networks, and network management systems. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as NERC CIP and NIST. Position Requirements
