Principal UX Designer - Financial Services & Payments
At Walmart, our stores serve hundreds of millions of customers every week. The Financial Services & Payments team creates great customer moments for managing and transacting for customers in all omni-channel experiences, ensuring that the customer has a fast, easy, and friction-free experience to finalize the shopping journey. We work across multiple disciplines including UX, Process Design, Industrial Design, and Service Design to create a complete and holistic experience. We are looking for a creative and talented
Principal UX Product Designer
who can think across disciplines to create holistic workflows. We use imagination, logic, and collaborative workshopping to generate new ideas, utilizing cutting-edge technology paired with proven standards. We prototype innovations in our test labs and partner with research to rapidly iterate designs in our stores. If you are a hands-on problem solver, able to work with multiple stakeholders, turn limitations into opportunities, and lead the team in setting a future vision, then this role is for you.

Experience with Financial Services & Payments experiences
Mobile Experiences Service Design
Mastery of a wide spectrum of design disciplines. Excellent visual craftsmanship, presentation skills, and problem-solving abilities. A strategic mindset and systems thinking approach to simplify complex workflows. Experience shipping successful products with quick iteration and stakeholder management. Ability to explore and iterate on various design ideas rapidly. Experience facilitating design sprints, workshops, or research sessions. Comfort with ambiguity, constraints, and discovering the problem space. Authenticity, strong communication, listening skills, and empathy. Ability to clearly articulate design rationale and influence decision-making. You will make an impact by:
Designing best-in-class product experiences with a focus on craft. Partnering with research, product managers, and engineers for insightful solutions. Balancing business goals with user needs. Rapid prototyping and experimentation. Managing multiple projects and priorities. Creating scalable experiences with our Design System team. Championing Design Thinking throughout the business. Collaborating with cross-functional teams. Staying current with industry trends. Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's in Industrial Design, Digital Design, HCI, Information Architecture, or related, with 5+ years of experience; or 7+ years of relevant industry experience. Excellent portfolio.
