Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Title: Litigation Associate Attorney - Trust, Estate and Probate
Location: Open to remote within California, preferably Hybrid schedule - 2 days in office
Salary: $120k-$160k for Associate, $150k-$250k for Senior Associate/Senior Counsel

Based in Los Angeles, we are a leading probate law firm specializing in trust, estate, and conservatorship litigation. With over a decade of experience, the firm has built a stellar reputation for its deep expertise and unwavering dedication to resolving complex probate matters. We are known for our exceptional track record of favorable outcomes, and its attorneys consistently go above and beyond to serve clients in matters such as trust disputes, fiduciary misconduct, elder financial abuse, and probate appeals.
Requirements For Associate
- At least 3 years of demonstrated litigation experience in any legal field; a background in probate law is preferred but is not required
- Strong academic record, as well as law review membership highly preferred
- CA Bar membership required
For Senior Associate/ Senior Counsel
- 5 plus years of demonstrated probate and trust litigation experience; OR
- 8-10 years plus of civil or family law litigation experience with strong job stability and references required
Responsibilities
- Research legal issues for trust and estate litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, discovery, memoranda, motions and other legal documents
- Handle trust and estate litigation matter from inception through trial, including taking depositions, attending mediations and settlement negotiations
- Attend hearings on a regular basis in the probate courts
- Make independent decisions and advising clients on pre-litigation and litigation matters
- Handle conservatorship or guardianship matters from initiation of proceedings to representation of conservators or guardians for the duration of these matters
- Handle probate administrations from initiation of proceedings to discharge of personal representative
- Consult and advise trustees or beneficiaries on trust administration
- Other projects, as assigned
