Northrop Grumman is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual for the position as Staff Supplier Management Team (SMT) Lead in support of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program. IBCS is the centerpiece of the U.S. Army’s modernization strategy for air and missile defense capability. The SMT Lead position will manage key suppliers in the delivery of the Full Rate Production Major End Items. This position will be in Huntsville, Alabama. What You’ll Get To Do As the SMT Lead, you will oversee a dynamic cross functional SMT by providing Program Management leadership and direction in support of multi-million-dollar major subcontracts. The SMT includes contributors from multiple organizations: Global Supply Chain (GSC)

As the SMT Lead, you possess the following competencies: Identifies and controls all subcontract management activities and processes that integrate supplier interdependencies throughout the program’s life cycle.
Fosters collaboration among team members and between teams.
Applies knowledge, insights, and understanding of business and/or financial concepts, tools, and processes to support subcontract decisions, actions, and performance corrections.
Identifies and addresses subcontract impacts through a proactive systematic approach.
Supports and monitors a Technical Performance Baseline to compare key subcontract technical performance measures.
Ability to understand elements of the Design, Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test processes.
Communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves issues across all functional elements within the SMT, including the supplier.
Effectively manages/administrates subcontracts through a broad set of skills, toolsets, processes, and government regulations.
Effectively plans, defines, establishes, communicates, monitors, and controls scope to ensure that all the work required is performed.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee and provide financial control and maintenance of budgets including EVMS metrics.
Prepares and manages schedules and prepares status reports on the health of the projects.
Interprets schedules from suppliers to understand impact on program schedule and milestones.
Key leader in developing and reviewing Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs).
Develops and maintains Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Review supplier proposal responses and perform technical evaluations.
Prepares higher level management briefings and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress.
Manages labor and material dollars across multiple contracts for Support Equipment EVMS weekly and monthly deliverables.
Basic Qualifications: Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 15 years of relevant experience or 12 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience with Master’s.
At least four years’ experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Three years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and/or large supplier management portfolio experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing multiple projects concurrently in meeting customer requirements.
Experience managing cross functional teams, leading projects, budgets, and schedules.
Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally and in writing.
Experience managing a Major Subcontract in either a supply chain, SMT, or program management role.
Financial experience in EVMS or similar cost and schedule management systems.
Salary Range:
