Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Project Leader – Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) Location: On-site – Tallahassee, FL Employment Type: Full-time (Contract) Job Overview: Greyhawk Technology is seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Project Leader to support the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) team at Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The ideal candidate will serve as a senior team member, lead or principal technician responsible for supporting large-scale EDMS operations, upgrades, and cloud transitions. This role requires strong expertise in OpenText eDOCS and hybrid infrastructure environments, along with excellent communication, leadership, and troubleshooting abilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead EDMS initiatives, upgrades, and implementations within FDOT's hybrid (on-premises and Azure cloud) environments. Maintain, monitor, and support EDMS server environments for performance, stability, and compliance. Administer library maintenance and EDMS databases using OpenText tools. Perform server patching, configuration management, and system security operations. Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions for EDMS-related systems. Serve as a technical liaison between business users and IT teams, providing training and documentation as needed. Troubleshoot complex technical and application-level issues related to EDMS infrastructure. Assist in planning and executing migration of EDMS services to Azure cloud, ensuring minimal downtime. Develop technical documentation, training materials, and best practices for system use and support. Provide end-user support, training sessions, and remote/on-site troubleshooting. Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and deliver scalable solutions. Required Skills and Experience: Advanced knowledge and 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText eDOCS in a team lead or senior technical role. Experience with EDMS system administration, including infrastructure, application support, and upgrades. Proficiency with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments. Strong understanding of document and records management standards and best practices. Experience with server performance tuning, backup strategies, and high-availability configurations. Familiarity with SQL Server, Access, or other reporting and data management tools. Programming knowledge (e.g., .NET) and experience working with third-party application integration is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve issues independently, and support mission-critical systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and end-user training. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Familiarity with PMI’s PMBOK standards and project management best practices. Previous experience supporting public sector clients or working on state government contracts. Other Requirements: This is an on-site position located in Tallahassee, FL; remote work is not permitted. Flexibility to work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM and availability on weekends as needed.
