The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of overall experience, including 12 years in the IT industry and at least 10 years specifically in project management. As an active PMP certified professional, you will be responsible for leading complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations. This role requires a strong leader who can manage cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Direct and manage IT projects throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business needs. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication plans. Team Management: Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure successful project execution. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes. Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders and executive leadership on project progress, risks, and issues, utilizing effective communication tools. Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational policies and procedures. Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance project management processes and methodologies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 15 years of total experience, with at least 12 years in the IT sector and 10 years in project management roles. Certification: Active PMP certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI). Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams. Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results. Additional Experience: Federal/State Government experience is a plus.
