BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of RF theory and concepts; and a working knowledge of digital circuit design. They will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate across teams. They should be self-directed, organized, team oriented and have previous experience with MS Office tools. This position may be filled as either an RF Test and Development Engineer or a Principal RF Test and Development Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for an RF Test and Development Engineer: o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field plus 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field plus 0 years of experience. o Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams. o Experience with RF hardware and software. o Experience with RF test equipment, such as scopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator. o U.S. citizenship. o A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal RF Test and Development Engineer: o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field plus 3 years of relevant experience. o Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, and block diagrams. o Experience with RF hardware and software. o Experience with RF test equipment, such as scopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator. o U.S. citizenship. o A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: o What You'll Get to Do: Setting up, calibrating and operating COTS and custom RF, Digital and Power equipment in support of factory test of production product. o Troubleshoot RF, Digital and Power issues during test of advanced antenna systems. o Support technicians with troubleshooting and training. o Analyze test data and identify early trends. o Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions. o Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements. o Sensitivity to cost, schedule, and quality as well as policies and procedures is imperative. o Monitor product yields and aggressively work to maintain program yield targets. o Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions. o Interface with manufacturing management, test technicians, production engineers, design engineers, system engineers, program management and program support teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline. o Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance. o Experience with LabWindows CVI, C / C++ programming. o Proficiency with digital, analog, power supplies, RF test equipment, RF theory and high speed digital. o Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: 9/80 work week. 3rd shift.
