RF Test and Development Engineer
to support ongoing programs at a leading aerospace and defense contractor in
Baltimore, MD . This is a hands-on role supporting the testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification of advanced RF and antenna systems. Candidates with a strong foundation in RF theory, testing hardware, and data analysis are encouraged to apply.
We are considering candidates at multiple experience levels, from early-career engineers to senior-level professionals with deep RF expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, calibrate, and operate commercial and custom RF, digital, and power equipment for testing antenna systems Troubleshoot RF, digital, and power issues during factory test operations Support test technicians by offering troubleshooting guidance and training Analyze test data, identify early trends, and contribute to corrective actions Collaborate with design engineers on hardware and test process improvements Monitor and improve product yield metrics across production Ensure testing is completed with awareness of cost, schedule, and quality requirements Communicate findings to cross-functional teams including engineering, program management, and manufacturing Required Qualifications:
For RF Test and Development Engineer (Entry-Level)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field + 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no experience Working knowledge of RF hardware, software, and test principles Experience using RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance For Principal RF Test and Development Engineer (Mid-Level)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field + 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree + 3 years of experience All qualifications listed above for entry-level role Demonstrated ability to lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in a related engineering discipline Familiarity with
LabWindows CVI ,
C/C++ programming , and
RF/digital troubleshooting Experience working with analog, digital, power supplies, and RF circuitry Proficiency in analyzing test trends and supporting yield improvement initiatives Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic team environment Work Environment & Schedule:
On-site work required at the Baltimore facility Standard full-time hours with a possibility for overtime based on program needs Collaborative engineering team in a classified, low-stress environment with strong peer mentorship 9/80 schedule may be available
