Overview
Work with software engineers, research scientists, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers to incorporate eye tracking models with demos, data collection systems, and other eye tracking systems
Create tools, infrastructure, and documentation to accelerate research
Collaborate with other research and engineering teams to identify gaps, build solutions, and transfer technology
Perform code reviews that improve software engineering quality
Learn constantly, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Experience with Python
Experience with a common machine learning framework (ex. PyTorch)
Experience with ML computer vision
Experience evaluating and improving the performance (speed, power consumption) of ML systems
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in AR/VR.
Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.
Experience with C++.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences.
Familiarity with optics, lasers, and sensors.
Experience with non-ML computer vision, especially with OpenCV.
Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).
Experience developing software in a research environment.
Public Compensation: $56.25/hour to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry:
