Residential Manager Mentor Location: Amsterdam, NY or other locations as required. FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports To: Associate Director Hours of Work: Full time- 40 hours per week. Work hours vary, and overtime may be required. Position requires work at various program sites on all shifts, with varying schedules. Pay Range: The pay range is $27.90 to $39.60 Job Summary: Responsible for monitoring and training newly hired Residential Managers. Supervise and oversee the activities of the Assistant Manager Mentor and Direct Support Professional (DSP) Mentor. Support new Residential Managers as they transition from the Assistant Manager role to Residential Manager, using hands-on practical application of agency policies and procedures. Provide site-specific training, along with OPWDD, Office of Fire Prevention & Control (OFPC) and other regulations. Help build relationships that are collaborative and person centered. Job Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Minimum 2 years prior experience working directly with program participants and 2 year supervisory experience is required. Medication administration certification required. Excellent training, coaching and communication skills are required. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Valid NYS Driver's license is required. Travel is required; employee must have reliable transportation available. Major Responsibilities:
Directly train and ensure managers understand and comprehend responsibilities pertaining to the operation of a site, to include compliance, personnel, quality, communication, scheduling, Policies and Procedures and regulatory standards. Supervise Assistant Manager Trainer, and DSP Trainer. Assist with the development of Assistant Manager training program. Conduct trainings/coaching meetings, develop training material. Train managers to ensure supports are present for all consumers. Train managers to work with family, advocate, or correspondent. Identify personal development opportunities with Managers.
