Description
As a Senior Risk Manager at Amazon, you will spearhead operational excellence and automation initiatives within our Compliance and Safety program. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing processes, reducing operational expenses (OpEx), and implementing automation solutions to enhance our risk management capabilities.
Develop and execute strategies to reduce OpEx while maintaining compliance and safety standards, lead automation projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce costs. You'll analyze workflows, develop AI-driven solutions, and oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems.
The Senior Risk Manager will manage automated risk assessment tools, develop KPIs, engage stakeholders, and stay current with industry trends. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce OpEx while maintaining or improving compliance and safety standards
- Lead the design and implementation of automation projects to streamline risk management processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Analyze current workflows and develop AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Oversee the integration of new technologies, such as machine learning and natural language processing, into existing risk management systems
- Manage and optimize the performance of automated risk assessment and mitigation tools
- Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of automation initiatives and OpEx reduction efforts
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on automation goals and strategies
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in risk management and compliance automation

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- 6+ years of program management experience from beginning to end
- Experience working with data, and making data driven decisions
- Experience handling confidential information
- Demonstrated experience setting direction and delivering detail-oriented results in environments with frequently shifting priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience at consulting firms or equivalent
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Experience in operations, investigations, risk management, incident or crisis management, or handling escalations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical subject matter to a diverse group of stakeholders
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US markets. The base pay ranges from $109,000 to $185,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and skills.
