Develop your career through multifaceted engagements, formal training, and informal mentoring. KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. Responsibilities:
Work with multi-state companies on state and local income tax compliance. Act as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing subject matter industry knowledge and experience. Review information on state income and franchise tax estimated payments before, during, and after preparation. Build and manage client relationships, supervise, mentor, and develop staff. Monitor risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets. Collaborate with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the tax practice. Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of recent experience with state income tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, or pass-through entities, providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field; licensed CPA, JD/LLM, EA, or MTX, or others on KPMG's approved credential list. If not possessed at employment start, must obtain within one year. Experience serving public companies and solid knowledge of relevant state tax concepts. Ability to foster relationships internally and with clients; desire to perform in a high-energy team environment. Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members. Excellent writing, compliance, communication, management, and tax skills. KPMG complies with local/state regulations regarding salary ranges, which vary by location.
