Overview
We are seeking a
Senior SQL Engineer
with a strong background in database development and administration, particularly in
small to mid-sized environments
where flexibility and multitasking are key. This role requires expertise in
stored procedures, query optimization, and database performance tuning , along with some
DBA responsibilities . Experience with
Azure SQL setup and management
is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, develop, and optimize
complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures Lead
performance tuning efforts , including indexing strategies, execution plans, and query optimization Manage
database administration (DBA) tasks , including security, backups, high availability, and disaster recovery Collaborate with development teams to ensure
efficient database design and performance Support
data migration, ETL processes, and reporting
initiatives Assist in the
design, deployment, and management of SQL environments in Azure
(preferred) Ensure compliance with
best practices, security standards, and database governance policies Troubleshoot and resolve complex
database performance and integrity issues Qualifications:
5+ years of SQL development and DBA experience Expert-level knowledge of
stored procedures, query optimization, and indexing Strong experience with
database security, backup strategies, and high availability solutions Hands-on experience with
ETL processes and data migration Familiarity with
cloud-based database solutions, particularly Azure SQL
(preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a
fast-paced, collaborative
environment
