This position is part of the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Financial Analyst (Grants) you will be responsible for providing funds control and accounting support. Perform funds management for a variety of grants for the college.

As a Financial Analyst (Grants) GS-0501-11, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Background investigation will be required for all hires.
- Appointment may be subject to a 2 year trial or 1 year probationary period.
- Valid state-issued Drivers License is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for Males born after 12/31/1959.
- Incumbent will be required to file an OGE Form 450.
- Term Appointment - Time limited more than one year but not more than 4 years. The agency has the option of extending the appointment up to the four-year limit.
- Term appointments do not confer competitive/permanent status (5 CFR part 316).
Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
GS-11 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Providing advisory services and assistance in the planning and development stages of grant funds; preparing funds request estimates and justifications; monitoring obligations and expenditures throughout the execution phase to meet financial management objectives.
OR
Applicant must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level education leading to such as degree or LL.M., if related.
OR
A combination of successfully completed post-Master education and specialized experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirements for the position.
