Senior Accountant

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k - $95k
Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a passion.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review and post journal entries, and monitor transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections. Month-end and Year-end Close: The Senior Accountant will lead the month-end and year-end closing processes. Coordinate with other teams to ensure all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported within set timelines. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to key stakeholders. Financial Analysis: Conduct a detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization. Tax Compliance: The Senior Accountant will assist in preparing tax returns and provide support during audits. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
3 years of minimum prior accounting experience for the Senior Accountant. Experience with the month-end close.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
Organized, articulate, with good writing and verbal skills. Public audit experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
