Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable Big Data solutions that handle structured and unstructured data from various sources. Build and manage both batch and real-time data extraction and ingestion pipelines using cutting-edge tools such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, and Talend. Create efficient ETL frameworks with Python or Scala for transforming and moving high volumes of data. Optimize data models to accommodate analytical and operational needs, particularly in relation to healthcare claims and utilization data. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business units to turn requirements into effective data products. Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot our Hadoop infrastructure using Cloudera Manager, Ambari, and Zookeeper. Ensure adherence to data quality, security, and compliance standards utilizing tools like Kerberos, Ranger, and Sentry. Implement web services and APIs (REST/SOAP) for integrating with various applications and visualization tools. Contribute to data governance efforts, including metadata management and quality assurance. Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Big Data engineering and pipeline development. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Expertise in Big Data technologies like Spark, Hive, Impala, and the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN). Experience in real-time data processing with tools such as Kafka and Spark Streaming. Familiarity with NoSQL databases (HBase, MemSQL) and traditional RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server). Strong skills in ETL design and development using tools like Talend or Informatica. Experience in deploying and monitoring big data infrastructures. Knowledge of data warehousing, validation, and governance practices. Preferred: 5+ years of experience in Big Data engineering or analytics. Experience in the healthcare sector, especially with clinical or claims data. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Technical Environment: Big Data Ecosystem: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and more.
