Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Job Title: Vulnerability Management Engineer (100% Onsite) Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI Employment Type: Full-Time (W2) *This is a contract-to-hire position. Sponsorship is NOT available for this role* Overview: We’re on the hunt for a Vulnerability Management Engineer who comes from a system/infrastructure background and has made the pivot into security. You’ll be supporting a mature vulnerability program, working hands-on with Rapid7, and collaborating across security and IT teams to identify, assess, and drive remediation efforts. This role is 100% onsite in Pleasant Prairie, WI, and requires formal business attire (shirt and tie Mon–Thurs, casual Fridays). A Bachelor’s degree is required. What You’ll Do: Run and tune scans with Rapid7 Nexpose/InsightVM across on-prem and cloud environments. Analyze scan data, validate results, and help prioritize remediation based on risk. Work closely with IT to guide patching, config changes, or mitigation strategies. Track remediation efforts and verify completion. Support integrations and reporting in InsightVM and other tools. Document vuln mgmt processes and remediation plans. What We’re Looking For: Background in system administration or infrastructure (Windows, Linux, networks). 2+ years working in vulnerability management or security engineering. Strong experience with Rapid7 Nexpose/InsightVM (or similar tools like Qualys, Nessus). Understanding of remediation practices, CVSS, and security frameworks (NIST, PCI, etc.). Strong communication skills — must be comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams. Nice to Haves: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Security certifications like Security+, CEH, CISSP, OSCP.
