The ideal candidate will have experience in Cyber Security Engineering, IT Security Strategy, and compliance management. This role involves managing security plans, mentoring junior engineers, assessing risks, and supporting security initiatives. Responsibilities Manage one or more IT System Security Plans Train and mentor junior security engineers Identify risks and vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and track issues to resolution Manage Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) and risks Perform security impact assessments of system changes Provide security guidance to senior leadership Support security projects and initiatives Stay updated on security trends and tools Qualifications Education & Experience: Typically requires an undergraduate degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent experience 15 years of related experience Desired Skills: Experience with NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls on Federal Systems Risk evaluation throughout the System Development Life Cycle Strong system and network design background Knowledge of advanced threats and vulnerabilities Excellent communication skills Understanding of incident management and security audits Preferred Certifications: CISSP, GIAC GDSA, GIAC, Security+ Experience with FedRAMP security plans and DevSecOps Benefits KBR offers competitive benefits including 401K, health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
