The Job Role:
In this hands-on, full 360 HR role, you will oversee the workload of 2 HR Advisors, reporting directly to the Senior HR Manager. Your responsibilities include managing workflow, advising senior managers, and ensuring HR compliance and audit readiness.
You will deputise for the Senior HR Manager and guide the HR team on employment law and legislative updates.
You will drive corporate HR initiatives and change projects, working with managers across the business.
You will support disciplinary hearings, grievances, occupational health, and long-term sickness cases.
You will produce HR metrics and conduct daily team meetings to report to the Senior HR Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification with approximately 15 years of experience in a busy HR environment.
A passion for HR, career development, and supporting others in a dynamic environment.
Ability to provide leadership, guidance, and confidently share extensive HR policy, procedure, and legislative knowledge.
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or unionised environments with a diverse workforce is preferred.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This role is based on-site in Exeter; please note it is not a hybrid role.
