The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position partners across the HR function to deliver value-added service throughout the organization. The HRBP is accountable for the HR functions of employee relations, performance management, and compensation. Maintains a high level of business literacy pertaining to the organization’s needs, plans, and culture. Responsibilities Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Coach and develop team members and leaders. Provide performance management guidance to support teams (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the Legal Team as needed/required. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Assist with Recruitment activities as needed. Develop onsite culture building activities. Administer Workers Comp and Leaves of Absences. Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale. Partner with HR Manager and Broker(s) to analyze trends in benefits to develop competitive programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent. Prepare termination paperwork. Lead and provide support/input to HR project initiatives as assigned. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Assist with HR team projects as assigned. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred. 7+ years of HR experience, inclusive of compensation, employee relations, and performance management experience. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and talent development. Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (Paycom preferred). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proven consultation skills and ability to influence. Professional and approachable at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS related software. Demonstrated sound judgment, ability to apply depth of knowledge and experience in solving complex challenges/making recommendations where no precedent may exist. Self-motivated & results oriented. Excellent communication skills (written/verbal/presentation). The ability to assess and anticipate the HR needs of employees. Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel on an ongoing basis. Job Details & Physical Requirement Position: Regular, Full-Time. Position Location: Remote. Reports to: HR Manager. Office Headquarters: California. Business Travel: Up to 5%. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Ivy Fertility offers comprehensive benefits. This is a remote position that ranges from $90,000-$100,000 annually.
