Jobright.ai Inizio Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Solution Architect to lead the technical solutioning and architectural design of their innovative Matching Engine platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a scalable architecture that integrates with real-time data infrastructure, focusing on optimizing the allocation of Carbon Offsets and Renewable Energy Certificates. Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end solution design for the Matching Engine platform. • Define architecture for a web-based UI for Trade Desk to: • View carbon offsets and RECs supply inventory • Monitor projected demand for carbon offsets and RECs • Manage and configure allocation rules for matching supply to demand • Architect and oversee implementation of rule execution engine that applies allocation logic and updates the data lake in real-time. • Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure real-time streaming architecture integrates with matching logic. • Ensure solution is scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architectural standards. • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Define APIs, microservices, data flow designs, and integration patterns. • Provide technical leadership across development, testing, and deployment phases. • Stay up to date with emerging technologies in carbon markets, real-time systems, and enterprise integration patterns. Qualifications: Required: • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Solution Architecture. • Proven experience designing real-time data-driven applications, ideally in energy, sustainability, or trading domains. • Expertise in building UIs with frameworks like React or Angular and backend services using Node.js, Java, or .NET. • Strong knowledge of data lake architectures, e.g., Delta Lake, AWS Lake Formation, or Azure Data Lake. • Experience with real-time stream processing (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink). • Solid understanding of business rule engines and rule-based system design. • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (AWS / Azure / GCP). • Experience with carbon offsets / RECs data is a strong plus. Preferred: • Experience with carbon market platforms, energy trading, or sustainability tech. • Familiarity with rule scripting frameworks and rule automation tools (e.g., Drools, Camunda, custom logic engines). • Understanding of regulatory and compliance aspects of environmental credits.
