We're seeking a hands-on Support Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting the infrastructure behind cutting-edge R&D and testing environments. This is a lab-based, on-site role in Redmond, WA, ideal for IT professionals who enjoy solving technical problems, working with hardware, and maintaining systems in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting. As a Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the physical and virtual infrastructure that powers development and testing workflows. You'll triage support requests, manage hardware deployments, track inventory, and ensure systems are secure and compliant. Your day-to-day will include troubleshooting Windows systems, writing PowerShell scripts, performing lab checks, and documenting technical processes. Note: This is a full-time, on-site position requiring presence in the lab 5 days a week in Redmond, WA. Only candidates eligible to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis will be considered. C2C and third-party submissions will not be accepted. Responsibilities
Triage and resolve support requests related to IT infrastructure and lab environments Deploy, configure, relocate, and decommission lab hardware (servers, racks, cabling, consoles) Perform system administration tasks using PowerShell and ensure security compliance Conduct routine lab checks and troubleshoot infrastructure issues Track and manage IT assets, ensuring accurate metadata and lifecycle documentation Write and maintain technical documentation; analyze logs and datasheets Monitor and report on security KPIs, including patching and compliance metrics Requirements
4+ years of experience in IT support and incident management (Windows Server/Desktop) 4+ years in IT operations, including hardware deployment and OS configuration Experience imaging Windows Client/Server machines in a lab environment Familiarity with PowerShell for operational tasks Experience with Hyper-V, Active Directory, file shares, and basic networking Strong inventory and asset management skills using datasheets or relational databases Excellent written communication and documentation skills Nice-to-Have
Experience supporting Azure infrastructure and migrating cloud resources Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a lab or data center environment (standing, cabling, basic tool use)
