Senior Manager ML Production Engineering

Role Description
CoStar Matterport seeks an enthusiastic Senior Manager of ML Production Engineering to join our Vision & Learning team. You will lead and manage the ML Production Engineering team responsible for Matterports 3D reconstruction pipeline, collaborating with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to design scalable ML pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and data management processes. This position reports to the Vice President of Vision & Learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in Cloud Architecture, ML Operations, Software Engineering, and Distributed Systems.
- Work cross-functionally to define and design new capabilities for production deployment.
- Lead and manage engineering projects with multiple stakeholders and report to executives.
- Contribute hands-on engineering expertise as a working manager.
- Collaborate with data providers for dataset development for training and production networks.
- Manage and mentor senior engineers, fostering high performance.
- Advocate for innovative technical architectures and practices.
- Implement and refine development processes.
- Recruit, mentor, and coach engineering talent.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or ML Ops.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Knowledge of ML pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS).
- Experience with data management, Infrastructure as Code tools, and software engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
