Join our team as a Software Engineer II for our San Diego Office! Job Title: Software Engineer II Company: Zachary Piper Solutions Clearance: Must be able to maintain a DOD Clearance Location: San Diego, CA Compensation: Up to $165,000 based on experience Role Overview: This position allows a hybrid work structure, under which an employee can work remotely for up to 2 days per week, between Tuesday and Thursday, after completing a probationary period and based on demands of specific tasks. Working from the office is encouraged for some tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. R esponsibilities: Contribute to full-cycle software development, from architecture design to deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration into our Systems-of-Systems Contribute to the development and refinement of internal software processes and standards Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing guidance and support in their professional development Manage project segments, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards Contribute to software processes and standards, leading to strategic decisions Provide support at customer sites and participate in test and evaluation activities Preferred Qualifications Active DoD clearance Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes Networking experience Expertise in designing software systems Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible) Experience with geospatial frameworks Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and standards Experience in DevOps methodologies and practices Advanced STEM degree Compensation: Competitive Salary Range: Up to $165,000 based on your experience and skills.
