Senior Staff Accountant
Excellent opportunity to join a mid-sized, family-run manufacturer located near the Midway/La Grange area as a Senior Staff Accountant and key member of the accounting team as they look to continue their current growth into 2023. This company is located in the La Grange/Midway area and is operating a 3 days in the office/ 2 days at home working schedule. They are looking to identify a Senior Staff Accountant that can work closely with and be mentored by the Controller into a Senior Accountant/Accounting Supervisor position. This company is located in the La Grange/Midway area and is operating a 3 days in the office/ 2 days at home working schedule. Job Description
Within this Senior Staff Accountant position, responsibilities will include: Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting requirements Collect & analyze data to determine the cost of business activities Work with operations, sales, and marketing teams to proactively improve KPIs Responsible for key cost accounting duties such as slow and obsolete inventory analysis and the standard cost update Provide financial support to the operations team, including cost trends, cost improvement opportunities, and profitability analysis of products, suppliers, programs and special projects Partner with operations in managing the capital expenditure plan and overall responsibility for fixed asset accounting Ensure that accurate financial records and strong internal controls are in place and being followed Assist in preparation of annual operation plan, long range strategic plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews and other special analysis MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. To be considered for this position, the successful Senior Staff Accountant will ideally have: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of experience in accounting Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred Excellent knowledge of MS Excel Strong business communication and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail What's On Offer
