Encore Talent Solutions 5+ years of experience as a Windows Administrator, preferably in a senior or lead role. Extensive experience with Windows server migration projects, from planning to execution. Proven ability to perform OS patching and upgrades in an enterprise environment. Strong knowledge of Information Systems (IS) and server-to-server communication. Solid understanding of SQL database administration and optimization. Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell, for automation purposes. Familiarity with cloud environments and their integration with Windows systems.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Windows Administrator, preferably in a senior or lead role. Extensive experience with Windows server migration projects, from planning to execution. Proven ability to perform OS patching and upgrades in an enterprise environment. Strong knowledge of Information Systems (IS) and server-to-server communication. Solid understanding of SQL database administration and optimization. Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell, for automation purposes. Familiarity with cloud environments and their integration with Windows systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the migration from Windows 2012 to 2019, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal downtime. Perform OS patching and upgrades to maintain system security and stability. Possess extensive knowledge of Information Systems (IS) to effectively manage and optimize Windows servers. Understand server-to-server communication protocols to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues. Proficient in SQL database administration to maintain and optimize database performance. Utilize scripting knowledge, particularly PowerShell, for automating routine tasks and enhancing operational efficiency. Demonstrate a strong understanding of automation principles and tools, contributing to process improvements. Familiarity with cloud environments (such as Azure or AWS) is a significant plus, allowing for seamless integration and scalability.
