Tesla is innovating in battery manufacturing by designing new factories, equipment, processes, and software to scale globally. Software, data, and automation are critical to this strategy, with a focus on building software from scratch to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure safety and quality. Responsibilities
Work with automation software, databases, virtual machines, and other applications that enable manufacturing in our factories. Monitor system availability and health holistically. Optimize system performance. Provide operational support and engineering for large-scale distributed applications. Design and implement automation for deployment and upgrades of manufacturing software. Define disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Enhance observability of automation software through metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting. Design infrastructure, systems, and application architecture. Qualifications
Proficient in Linux fundamentals. Experience with modern infrastructure services, distributed systems, microservices, and software design. Experience with containers and management systems. Understanding of cybersecurity principles. Experience managing configuration changes across distributed systems. Proficiency in high-level languages such as Python, Go, or Java. Comfortable with on-call rotations and troubleshooting issues live. Benefits
