Towne Animal Clinic Veterinary Technician Opportunity

Towne Animal Clinic is a progressive 8-doctor small animal practice needing to add a veterinarian. We are located in beautiful Loudoun County in Leesburg, Virginia. We are seeking a small animal veterinarian interested in high quality medicine. We encourage constant professional growth and mentorship, and our staff and doctors are dedicated to providing the best possible care. We are a full service, high tech practice - tools include ultrasound, digital x-rays, endoscopy, in-house lab, therapeutic laser, dental suite including digital dental x-ray, and fully equipped surgical suite for both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Towne Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dedicated licensed veterinary technician to join our growing team. Position skills include: professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms, laboratory procedures including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals, diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members, nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, and proficient in dental prophylaxis.

Position requirements include veterinary technician certification or licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state. An associate degree in veterinary technology is required.
