Software Engineer

with 3–4 years of hands-on development experience to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This is a

hybrid role , requiring 2–3 days per week on-site. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing

legacy Java applications , while also contributing to

new development using Python, Dash (Plotly), and Snowflake

for business-critical data visualization and reporting tools. This role involves

direct collaboration with business stakeholders , so strong communication skills and the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions are essential. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance existing

Java-based legacy applications Develop new data visualization tools and dashboards using

Python

and the

Dash framework Query and manage data in a

Snowflake

backend environment Work closely with business users to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional team collaboration Support deployment, testing, and issue resolution processes Required Skills & Experience 3–4 years of software development experience Proficiency with

Java

(for maintaining legacy systems) Strong hands-on experience with

Python

development Working knowledge of

SQL Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable interacting with non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with

Snowflake

or similar cloud data platforms Experience building interactive dashboards or visualizations using Dash (Plotly Dash) or similar frameworks Experience in hybrid or enterprise environments Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience working with data teams or BI analysts Seniority level
