Software Engineer Position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer position. Type: Full-Time, Contract Duration: 12+ Months Location: Columbus OH, Hybrid 3 Days in Office As a Software Engineer you will: Contribute to system upgrades, installations, and deployments. Identify and recommend service quality and availability improvements. Design, code, test, debug, and document mainframe programs for assigned projects. Analyze and resolve technical challenges, escalating as needed. Provide clear documentation and knowledge-sharing with internal teams and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. Support and maintain existing systems with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have: Software engineering experience or equivalent (education, training, military background). Proven expertise in COBOL programming and mainframe environments. Basic knowledge of Assembler (1+ years). Hands-on experience with EZTRIEVE and VSAM (including definition and usage). Familiarity with CICS, JCL, PROCs, Endeavor, CA7, and MQ. Prior experience in the banking/financial services domain. Exposure to tools and practices like Data Space, ServiceNow, Agile methodologies, FMMVS, and basic testing frameworks. PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range: $48 - $53/hr.
